For starters, applying to work as an English Teacher in South Korea through EPIK is totally free!!

Teaching in South Korea requires collecting a couple of legal documents to process your visa, it’s not just buying a one way ticket. Here I will address some of the fees you should consider saving for and how much it ACTUALLY costs to move halfway across the world.

Keep in mind that I moved out of the United States, specifically California.

Before you even start to fill out any kind of visa paperwork, you must secure a job as an English Teacher. If you have made it past the interview round, EPIK will ask you to gather some documents to prepare the legal contract of your employment.

They will ask for:

-Signed application form

-Criminal check with Apostille

-Bachelor’s Degree with Apostille

-2 sets of sealed university envelopes

-2 original reference letters

-copy of your TEFL certification

-Passport size photo
